SnoozeCon 2025 – Chapter 2 Advancing Surgical Excellence in Sleep Medicine

The second edition of SnoozeCon concluded on June 29, 2025, with overwhelming success—solidifying its status as one of India’s leading academic conferences for sleep medicine and surgical management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Hosted by the Department of ENT, Al-Azhar Medical College, in collaboration with Excell ENT Clinic, Muvattupuzha, and endorsed by IASSA, United Medical Mission, and AOI Malanadu & Cochin Chapters, this year’s theme focused on: The Surgeon’s Approach – Mastering OSA Surgeries, Step by Step.

With 125+ delegates representing ENT, dental, pulmonology, pediatrics, orthodontics, and allied specialties, the event fostered a vibrant environment for skill-based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Masterclass Experience – Hands-On Learning

One of the most appreciated features of SnoozeCon Chapter 2 was the Masterclass format—a small-group rotation model that allowed delegates to directly interact with faculty at four specialized stations:

  • PAP Therapy & Interface Handling – Device setup, patient training, and compliance optimization.
  • Polysomnography Interpretation – Understanding and applying PSG results to surgical planning.
  • DISE Evaluation – Recognizing obstruction patterns and tailoring interventions.
  • Orthodontic & Surgical Airway Planning – MARPE/SARME expanders and phenotype-based approaches.

This format ensured personalized learning and a deeper understanding of real-world clinical applications.
